Charitable Donations

According to tradition, when Adam and Eve were cast out of the Garden of Eden, the world was shattered. The legend continues that we all must seek to repair or put back together those pieces and make the world whole again, which in Hebrew is called Tikkun Olam. Hans and Sonja exemplified this in their actions and their children have attempted to continue this tradition as well. What follows are some links to the favorite charities of Hans and Sonja as well as a brief description of each. In addition, Sonja and her children have created a professorship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A description of the professorship and the rationale for the donation can be found here
